Porn for the Blind

I've often wondered, "if I were disabled in one way or another, how would I accomplish or experience X, Y, or Z?"

Now that I know about Porn for the Blind, there is one less thing that I will have to ponder. Thank goodness!

I originally thought that this had to be a joke, or that the site was collecting these recordings for some other strange purpose. But the site has very plain recordings of pornographic internet clips. There are no graphics or interesting layouts, so I actually think these folks are serious about the audience that they are catering to.

What's more, you can do a good deed and submit your own audio recording, describing porn for a visually impaired person who has made a request.

Like Make a Wish, but pornographic!

Porn for the Blind demands that you only use correct anatomical language when making recordings for their site, which seems like it might take away some of the necessary sauce from a recording like this. There is nothing sexy about the phrase "sexual intercourse". It always reminds me of my mother talking to me about sex for the first time, and when I hear it I feel like I want to scream.

Maybe they're worried about offending someone?

It does seem like they might want the recordings to be a little more like obscene phone calls, and a little less like directions on how to make a spinach quiche.

And, they might want to have some longer recordings in the future of, say, entire movies. That would be a nice gesture, I think. While there may be such a thing as too much porn, I think a 30-second internet clip is definitely not enough.
